Privacy in brief

Everything that matters about how your data is handled.

Who is responsible

The controller for the purposes of the UK GDPR is the private individual who operates the site, with no commercial purpose.

For the purposes of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, the operator determines the means and purposes of the processing. Enquiries can be made through the contact form on this site.

Exercising your rights

In line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you are entitled to the following:

  • Right of access: ask for a copy of the data held about you.
  • Rectification: correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Right to erasure: request the deletion of your data.
  • Right to restriction: ask us to restrict the processing.
  • Objection: object to the processing of your data.
  • Portability: obtain your data in a portable format.
  • Right to withdraw consent: at any time, where processing relies on consent.

These rights can be exercised through the contact form on this site. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the United Kingdom supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Personal data collected

No more data is collected than is needed for your request. No special category data is requested.

  • Identification: your first name and, where given, your surname.
  • Contact: your email address and, where you wish, a phone number.
  • Area: the town or postcode you provide.
  • Request: the details you send about casual encounters.
  • Technical data: IP address, date and time of the request.

Who has access

Your data is not sold and is not passed on without a lawful basis. Our host, Fasthosts Internet Limited, processes data only on our instructions as a processor under Article 28 of the UK GDPR, and does not use your data for its own purposes.

Automatically collected data

When the site is accessed, the server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type. It supports the secure running of the site and is erased after a short time.

Data security

Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access is limited to those who need it, and appropriate technical and organisational measures guard against loss, alteration or unauthorised disclosure.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), advertising or analytics cookies are set only with your consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. Your browser settings also let you refuse cookies.

Updates

This policy may be updated when the law or the service changes. The current version on this site is the one in force.

Storage period

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, and is then removed, unless a legal obligation requires it to be kept longer. Server logs are kept for a short period and then erased.

Why your data is processed

Your data is used only to provide the site, keep it secure and reply to your enquiries. Processing rests on our legitimate interest in the secure operation of the site under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR, together with your consent where it is required (Article 6(1)(a)). Your data is never sold or rented to third parties.
